Compared to Your Age Group
The Stroop Test evaluates your ability to ignore conflicting information and focus on relevant details.
What It Tests
This test shows words in colors that may or may not match the word itself. Click the color the text displays in, ignoring what the word says. It measures cognitive interference, selective attention, and the ability to suppress automatic responses.
Ideal For
- Testing cognitive interference
- Measuring selective attention
- Cognitive assessment
- Attention control evaluation
Understanding Results
The interference effect is the difference between reaction times on congruent trials (word matches color) and incongruent trials (word does not match color). A smaller interference effect shows better selective attention and cognitive control. Typical interference effects range from 50-200 milliseconds.
